Cool Inflammation with Food
Inflammation within the body is linked to many common diseases, including heart disease, some types of cancer, and Alzheimer’s. The best defense against inflammation is diet. Anti-inflammatory foods contain compounds that can prevent or decrease inflammation. Join Holistic Health Coach, Abby Bliss White, for a class that teaches the basics of juicing and smoothie making! This workshop will introduce you to the world of juicing and smoothies that will change the way you feel on the inside and look on the outside. You will learn the differences between juicing and blending as well as the benefits of both. Juice and smoothies are a great way to incorporate fresh fruits and veggies into your daily diet. There are few activities more therapeutic than making homemade bread from start to finish. Though a time commitment, the process is simple. The reward is clear when the smell begins to permeate the room. Store bought bread is often loaded with artificial preservatives, additives, and hidden sugar. Join us for a nourishing evening of mixing, kneading, rising, baking, and tasting. All breads will be paired with nutritious spreads that will transform a slice of bread into a balanced snack or meal. You will sample Whole Grain Sandwich Bread, Gluten Free Flatbread and Oatmeal Whole Wheat Quick Bread.
